Hey Everyone,

Great news! My female northern gecko is pregnant! I am 13 years of age, this being my first reptile that I have bred. So I have come to you, fellow herpers for help on how to care for my female!

Thanks everyone all help is appreciated,
James

very cool me myself are thirteen my first gecko to breed was bynoes and ive got a baby for sale if u wanted it
You're joking right?

Congrats James, just keep the temps up as she will spend a lot of the time on the warm side. Keep an eye on her and when she starts digging around in 25-30 days time add a laybox filled with moist coco-peat for her to lay in.

As the eggs develop she will have less room for food in her tummy, so offer fewer insects but more often.
Dust feeders more often with calcium powder as the process of making the eggs and the act of laying them needs calcium.
As soon as she has laid you wanna feed her up good, I make sure that the 3-4 days after laying my marmorata always have access to food.

Oh and congratulations!

Thanks everyone for the advice :)! To be honest I was unaware that the female was pregnant until I saw its stomach against the glass windows of my tank! The eggs seem fully developed, I will be uploading a photo of the pregnant female soon, hopefully someone could try and determine when the eggs will be laid?

Cheers, James
