Our cat died earlier in the year after 19yrs of doing what I thought was nothing. Anyway it turns out he was doing something as we have mice in the house for the first time in ages. The bloody things are driving me crazy as I can hear one chewing in the same spot under the bed each night. My dilemma is that my wife and daughter have decided she is a female and named her Princess Diana. The reasons for this is that she has nice clean feet and looks like a princess. WTF, how can I kill it now?

Easy just blame the papparazzi, or you could run it over.. KIDDING!

There will be years of investigations and rumours, and it will never rest in peace anyways, best to let it live its life under you bed me thinks.

I find a hammer or a nice thick phone book works rather well OR, just tell Prince Charles and Camilla what her name is

its very simply. simply setup a current on one of its "traveling routes" like a exit to one of its tunnels. it squeezes through completes the circit and gets the shock of its life. might be an idea to hook up a fire alarm just above the trap just in case the princess lights on fire!

or an even better idea! intice the other mice to have a revolution becaues shes a evil tyrant. the little mice put her in the gillatine and then you take your rightful place as the king of the mice, then when they think you are an amazing trustworthy leader you roll em up in a blanket and throw em off a bridge!

On a slightly different tack. What is it chewing under the bed and why not remove the attractive chewable item and therefore enable yourself to sleep properly? I am sure you will come up with a good way to overthrow the Royal Family after a good nights sleep.

It's under the floor wrasse and getting very confident. Last week a bang on the wall sent it running then only turning the light on but now I have to jump around like a mad man to stop it.

Definitly NO more cats coming here. Whats that saying, 'a dog looks at you and thinks, he gives me food and shelter he must be a god, a cat thinks you give me food and shelter I must be a god'.

I am on a mission this weekend though because if i'm not quick we'll have Harry and William running around too.

we are having the same problem at our house... cept ours are called fairies.. mum hates them that much she wont even admit they are mice n rats.. anyway.. my advice is to get rid of them as soon as humanly possible... these little buggeres breed like theres no tomorrow... and once they start its quiet hard to get rid of them... we had a couple and decided not to worry about them... now if we sit on our outdoor entertainment area... we get some good rodent entertainment.. i counted about 16 the other night.. both rats n mice...
rat bait doent seem to work.. we have had mice n rats make nests in our home made rat bait box's ontop of the rat poision... so we decided to try another way.. we set up one of those good old rat traps on one of the rat paths and got 2 big fat ones in about 15 mins...

Caveman, call your local council, they should be able to supply you with rat/mouse baits.
