Hey all,

YouTube - Probing a corn snake

Does the probe for the male usually go in as deep as what it shows in the video. Its looks really deep.

Yeah some probes go in crazy deep. I've had some olives probe into the 20's (too many to count styles) and some colubrids well into the teens. From memory i've had some westerns go into the high teens aswell. All snake species are different though.

What you don't see in that vid is how big the male snake was, it would well have been a rather large snake.
