described by experts as a vicious killer

Very technical description. I wonder where they found these "experts". In the pub, I reckon!

"The alligator was a Spectacled Cayman... "

Pfft :( Bloody ignorance lol

They're great animals though, but when they get big you either need to be prepared to take care of it, or have someone you know who'll take it!

I think I saw some freshies in Herptrader, thought this post was referring to that :)

Och, it were only wee bebe gator, Ive wrestled gators since ye were hatchy, dont feel bad, willie likes ye!" :?

Lol Inny! lol Groundskeeper Willie strikes again.

I want an Alligator. 8)
Fuscy - Inny will have to lick your fingers for the scotch - people looking on will think he's kissing the royal Fuscus hand . . (I was going to type 'ring' but I know how the minds work lol -!) you'd do anything to be worshipped wouldn't you?

Some journalists have no idea -
The lizard may have been quite upset by being stuck in the boot of a car, and is now being cared for at a sanctuary.

quote "It is expected the reptile will eventually be rehoused, probably in a zoo."

well at least they are doing that instead of killing it like everyone else does with illegal reptiles

What a load of crap! "Vicious Killer"? Come on, it's a caimen for Christ's sake. We may end up with the same thing. There's a kid around here that has one and doesn't know what to do with it, so we may end up with it. They're not killers. They are very common in the pet trade here and are bred readily in captivity. They go for about $150CND, and alot less in the U.S. .
