Pygmy mulga monitors

I am thinking about getting some of these monitors, but just got a few q's

Do these need a deep substrate like ackies to dig?

Also, for 3 monitors, would a viv 4x2x3 high be big enough?

They don't dig much, but it is good to give them some dirt and/or leaf litter to scratch around in while hunting. Also if you are getting three you would want some dirt or other laying area for the eggs.

4'x2'x3' would be excellent.
