hi i was just wondering if anyone has notice there pythons having a build up of saliva and foaming coming out of their mouth a little? I have a diamond python that Ive just notice had foam around his mouth and was wondering if it may be related to stress or something totally different any ideas what might be cause it?

As above.......you need a vet! Im wondering though if 'frothing' at the mouth could be 'blowing bubbles'........which is a symptom of RI........Its definately not normal though so dont 'leave it be'.

I am just speculating but to me it sounds like an advanced respiratory infection, if it is your snake needs vet treatment now

As above, RI. That or Rabies. Does it squeal when you put it in water?

Yes, it is most likely rabid, euth it now....!!! :D:D It most likely 'squeals like a piggy'.....

Quite likely a respiratory infection. Keep the enclosure warm until you can get the snake to a vet for antibiotics.

ahhh no he doesnt squeal wen i put him in water :/ i didnt no we got rabies here :/

ok thanks for the advice will get him to a vet asap

Guys if someone is asking for help there is no need to tell them to do something silly to their animals .... some users here are children and would not know any better .....

Check the roof of his mouth, too. If he has food, or some of his bedding, caught up in there, that, too, will cause excessive salivation.

I wouldn't be taking chances though. Crank his heat up to about 30c, and keep it on, 24/7. And take him to a repitle-knowledgable vet who can assess and swab his mouth. Left untreated, RI can and most often do, develop into secondary infection causing pneumonia. He won't survive without antibiotic treatment.

ok so its not alright for me to swear but its okay for people to reply with stupid comments and try and be funny yea im asking for help not people to reply thinkin they are sooooo kool.

Im taking him to a vet today that has herp knowledge.

So someone posted something as a joke. Most replies have suggested taking the animal to a vet.

So I took him to the vet she had a bit of a feel nd looked in his mouth nd said he doesn't appear to have anything wrong with him he is in really good condition :/ he just started eatin he hadn't eaten for 3 months and her suggestion was if it happens again bring him bk for further examination :/

hrmmm if hes eating i wouldnt fret to much .... and adult / older snakes dont tend to feed over winter anyways ... mine have not long ago kicked back into feeding mode
