Hey guys,

Im a little confused, a while ago I went away and my friend looked after my EBD. He put my eastern in with his eastern and well one thing lead to another and you can guess what happened.

The eggs where unexpected and I was unorganized for them so at the end of the day only one survived resulting in one happy healthy little hatchie, I just have not gotten around to doing anything with my log book and Im confused as to what I need to enter into the logbook if anything to say that a certian number did not hatch or only one hatched ect.

Any help would be great

Cheers

Dot

As far as I'm aware, you simply enter that one hatchie in your log book. I don't think it requires a movement permit....

Do I put the one hatchie on the same page as the mother lizard or on a new page?

Any breeders input would be fantastic

Officially - you are obliged to enter the number of eggs as soon as they have been laid. Then if any didn't hatch or survived, you write them off as D and leave the rest as is. Don't write in the live hatchlings because it would double up the numbers with the eggs.
A reptile is "fauna" in all developmental stages, i.e. egg, hatchling, adult and must be entered into your books at the time of "acquisition" whether bought or natural increase.

New page for each species - it's quite clear when you look at the header on each page.

With reptiles its actually the number of eggs removed for incubation or hatched if they arnt taken out to be incubated. I have lots of deaths in my book due to this rule :(
