I don't, but they do slither about the house sometimes. just be careful of birds.

Should i take my snakeoutside on the grass
sometimes to excersise

Sure we do we do every week IMO its good for then gives then some exercise and a little sun

But watch out for birds LOL they aren't to happy when I take mine out side

I take mine outside, ive got about 6-7 that defecate on the grass,,i think it helps their bowels, who cares, less mess i need to clean...But with hatchies KEEP a good eye on them,it doesnt take long for them to escape....

I had my 7 month male Bredli out y'day morning on the grass for the first time, he loved it, sitting in the warm winter sun (was 26C in Sydney y'day, sensational!). He found a spot where his head was in shade, & his body was in sun, & decided that was a top spot to relax haha. As soon as he stretched out & made himself comfortable, the local noisy miners went crazy, calling to each other & looking down from the trees & house gutter. Being very territorial & fearless, I'm sure if I wasn't there they would have been bombing him to shoo him away. It was interesting watching him, as the feel & smell of grass would be totally new to him being his first time out, he was having a good old tongue flick.

I take some of mine out , they love the sun and slithering through the grass. However i Do stay very close to them.

In the 3 years I've had snakes I've never had problems with birds. But just the other day sitting out on back veranda with my new jungle and boy he must have stood out, I had to protect him from 3 miner birds and a butcher bird that came in to have a look. My carpets and bredli obviously aren't easily seen as the bright yellow on the jungles. Kookaburras also, can be very cunning and fast so keep an eye out for them.

LOL lucky you!! I can't turn my back for 1 second as the kookaburras just attack. I have had them hit one of my coastal right in front of me, Put a hole in the side of his neck Hes all good now though

if you have an adult olive dont let the dog come outside as well !!! not exactly fun seperating them

wont he get aprasites though

Suppose..But unlikely as the sun is a great killer of many things, UV treated. Just don't go where it looks bad, take him to the healthiest patch you can find or just sit on the varander. Birds carry alot of parasites, so if you have them hanging are in you yard or varander just be careful. (I haven't taken my pythons outside yet, weather hasn't been that great here..COME ON SUMMER!)

I took my olive boy to the local oval and the only bird that came close was a willy wag tail who was obviously not happy about a snake being about. He attempted to dive bomb Marlow from behind. He is lucky Marlow didn't see him.
