Long shot I guess but does anyone know of any manufacturers that make small radio transmitters for wildlife tracking?

Mate, haven't got a clue but you should be able to track something down, (pun intended), through Jaycar electronics. They won't have them but should be able to point you in the right direction.
NOW, tell us about this interesting project you have planned.................

I googled for an hour and come up with squat, ever thought of writing a google for dummies Fuscus? It's for documenting behaviour of some specific rehab animals (mammals mostly) when released so we can get feedback on territory/behaviour requirements. Of course it will be all pending NPWS approval.

to google properly you have to to think like a programmer.
And to think like a programmer you have to think the following is funny.

There are 10 types of people in the world,
Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Nuthn2do: try the biology lab of UNE - they can probably tell you where they get them from (assuming they use them).

:p
