Reptile Enclosures

:lol: For all you lucky things getting reptiles for Christmas or planning to give someone something for Christmas, I was out looking for ideas and came across a store called "Strictly Aquariums", they are currently having a 25% off all furniture until 31 Dec 2004. I saved $200.00 on a 4ft cabinet and hood, fully stained.

You saved $200 on the cabinet and hood, so what did you pay for it out of interest?

Including the 4ft glass tank, hood and cabinet $480.00
The tank was $155.00....

thats not too shabby. some places down here have real cheap stuff but there tanks are of questinoable reliance in the not breaking category.

The glass tank is very sturdy with all the proper joins (although I would hope so otherwise all of the fish would escape :wink: ). The furniture itself is pine and has castors so can wheel easily on carpet (maybe I should get a job advertising for them). Anyway I thought they were good value. Does anyone else have a recommended furniture store for reptiles?

not a store as such but www.reptahouse.com.au has well made enclosures at a good price. not as cheap as building yourself of course but he's the cheapest i've found. his name is mimmo and he's a top bloke who has built custom enclosures for us in a matter of days. havent bought any enclosures recently but last time we saw him he was trying to work out if it would be viable for him to ship interstate. with the costs of freighting it may turn out the same price as others so it might not be the best option for non victorians but it doesnt hurt to ask!

Possum, great bargain, but DO NOT by livestock from these guys, i know them personally and they have been know to be the Once upon a time starters for many a horror story!.

:lol: Thanks Angel, I am only into reptile collecting not fish so I was only interested in the furniture. But thanks for the heads up because my brother was going to buy some slippery little suckers from them.
