Hi Guys

Ive been told by everyone ive asked that the best way to get rid of a puffy eye on a turtle is to give a dose of reptivite to them. Now the shopkeeper said to dust the food item and then hold it above the water and wait for the turtle to come up and grab it, the problem is that my turtles are not yet tame enough to do this and if i just put it in the water it will desolve wont it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am very worried about my young turtles health!

Regards, Brendan

can you force feed them out of the water.
thats the only thing i can think
cheers and good luck

i wouldnt think of force feeding until i have exhausted all other options, i would not want harm to befall my turtles!

You could try this, wet the cricket first, then dust it, them drop it in the water. From experiance, when we dust our crickets and they jump in the water to escape the lizards, they still have the coating stuck to them long enough for the turtle to grab them.

Ash. :)

Otherwise you will need a vitamin A liquid suppliment and inject it into the crickets. :)
