My nearly 3 month old Woma has finally shed... Woke up this morning to find the shed in a neat little ball in her enclosure :)

Although I noticed, when she popped her head out of her hide, that she has a bit of shed still left on her nose, she then proceeded to start trying to rub it off.

In inspecting her shedded skin I noticed that there really isn't any scales on the head end to make up for her face and eyes. Whether it's in a separate piece inside her enclosure or not I am unsure of...

I don't know if she shed her eye-caps or not, but she definetly has some still left on her 'nose'.

I don't really know what to do in this case.. I am under the impression that I shouldn't just pull it off for her, should I soak her for a bit? (which she hates).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

stick her in a damp pillow case for a while (15 -20 mins or so) so she can rub it off.

Have you unravelled the entire ball of shed mine are sometimes a whole shed in an inch or so ball so i'd double chack that if its not there then as kkjkdt1 said just use a damp face washer.

Thanks guys, I'll do that today, fingers crossed she has shed her eyes as well

Yeah I unravelled it, it was all in a tight little ball, no evidence of the shed from her face on it though...

Ok... I found a piece of shed in her water bowl which appears to be half her face... wonder where the other half is.. hmmm

My corn snake had a retained shed; a strip along his back. I put him in a tub with lukewarm/tepid water, shoved the tub on a heatmat to keep the humidity up. Left him there for about half an hour just so he could paddle about. After which I got some kitchen towerl/toilet paper and gently rubbed him down and it came off all at once.
