Well sorry all,
Just another update on the ex and child story. As some of you will know I applied for custody of my daughter two weeks ago and told my ex last week which as you will remember went down like a lead balloon, Well I hadn't heard anything back from the Family Courts since So I rang them today to ask how my application was proceeding? I was told that they couldn't find my App. but a Supervisor rang me back later and told me that they had finally found my App. but it hadn't been actioned because it was lost in transit. As a result my Ex had lodge one in the mean time and so now if I want Custody I have to travel down there to respond?? bloody Government. The fathers a screwed every way we go.

Down your way. Not sure of the exact date yet for the first But the courts told me today it is looking like the 26th of next month

cwarren sorry to hear that ,now it will even be harder, but dont give up if you win it will all be worth it, and that just sounds like the courts ,the fathers every rearly get a brake,at the moment im traveling to syd every school holidays to pick my 2 girls up ,i carnt wait to beat my exwife in court for custody,my youngest 1 is a diabetic and the x is slowly killing her this time the x wouldnt give me her old record book so i could see what she was doing to her,she went out and got a knew book because the last time i hads my girls it showed the x was'nt looking after her properly and my lawer wants her charged so now i dont have any proof but i did photo copy it last time i had the girls.

Mate I would be having them to a doctor every time I pick them up and submit that as evidence. You could get a court order for her to produce it or give your doctor permission to contact the girls doctor in Sydney for her records. As for me I am not counting my chickens before they hatch but I do feel pretty confident though, I have the courts up hre on my side especially after what they did and now the supervisor is going out of her way to assist me with it all, so fingers crossed for both of us.

Hang in there as your daughter will definately remember you for going the hard yards for her irrespective of the outcome. As a singel mum there have been no real threats of my kids father wanting sole custody but good luck to him if he wanted to have a try. The Family Law Court is changing,albeit slowly to recognise the fact that giving birth to a child does not automatically grant you ultimate parenting skills over the father, whether biological or not.

As for the loss of your paper work, it amazes me how many pieces of paperwork you submit to a government department gets "lost" but then miraculously turns up at the detriment to yourself. This is just absolute crap in your instance and I would be raising holy hell about it as it has allowed you ex to make life just that little bit more difficult for you.

Anyway may things work out.

cwarren i am in touch with the doctor he has to send me a report every time she goes,but that only gives me a 3 month report the book is every day ,and as i found out last month she had'nt been to him in 11 month ,got on to that 1 real quick ,she's not doing her self any favers,like tonight i had to ring westmead kids hospital due to her having so many hiepo's and could not give them any info on how she was prier to me picking her up on friday ,they where not inpresses by the x,her doctor will be ringing me tomorrow.i dont think she (ex)know's how much sh*t she is getting herself into.
