You can sell an animal if you have had it less than six months but you need to get permission first, at least in SA.

It is also to discourage impulse buying a reptile without thinking it through properly first. This ad is good example.

3 month's in WA whether it is a purchase or birth. We normally have stricter rules but this one must have got by CALM unoticed

I think the 6 months is also to allow the reptile to settle in before being moved, then moved, then moved. Atleast it gets a minimum of six months in any given spot to get into a routine again before moving again.

Feel like an idiot now

Should have asked her opinion before buying it. I wanted it as a pet for the kids and it fitted the requirements, also she didn't go off at the 30cm juv stimson that I got few weeks ago.
