hey guys my 5 month old carpet python escaped the other day.. His kept in a wooden cabnet style thing with a fiberglass door but i dont know how he got out. How big does a hole have to be compared to the snake for it to get out? Thanks :)

you'll be amazed at the tiny places they can squeeeeeze through. give its a very very close inspection including the gaps between the doors (if they slide open) and gaps when the doors closer.

Like rubysnake said you would certainly be amazed!! I lost my juvi carpet for 3 months untill one bored night i decided to open up my broken cd player to see if i could fix it, and what do you know, their the little bugger is. Dont ask me how it got in their! the only entry point was about half a cm

Brown Hair that is amazing. You lucky to find him like that. Its always when you aren't looking, they will most likely be found. I have a carpet on the loose, been gone 3 months or more now. I hope he shows up soon. But he was 6ft. How can I lose a snake that big and not find him if he hasn't packed his bags and left home :( I'll shoot myself if I lose any of my new ones. I keep going back to check the lids to make sure I haven't left one undone.
