So just a question here i have an basic license in SA just wondering about some details that i couldn't find on the web.
1. How old do you have to be
2. Do you keep paying for the basic but when you want an adv animal do you apply for one

When you want to move on to advanced species you have to apply for a specialist class 3 permit, an the apply for endorsement or the animal you want. This process often involves inspections of husbandry and proposed enclosures. Your required to have had your basic permit for a 12 month period and required to prove you have had previous experience with animals that have similar husbandry requirements.
