Is the gold the same sp. as a kotman's just a gold sub species or they a totally different species?

Just ordered a Phlogius crassipes and waiting on a Phlogius sp. "Goliath" so just getting into spiders does my head in the scientific names

Totally different, different parts of the country and all. There's a surprising variety out there when you start to look into them.
