generally i believe they say

"take it to a vet, trying to yourself can seriously damage your dragon"

Just wondering if anyone out there could tell me how to sex Bearded Dragons.
get a pic of their back legs and vent. im pretty sure only males have the little lumps on the underside of their back legs. cheers

So you probe them do you. I wont attempt to do it I was wondering if you could tell by looking at them.

You have to fold/bend the tail forwards first (CAREFULLY and not too far, just till there's a bit of resistance). It won't work on young ones and even with adults one vet told me this isn't 100% reliable. This vet told me that you have to pop the hemipenes to be 100% sure of a male and basically see eggs laid to be sure of a female. Having said that I had sexed all 4 of my beardies correctly as males using the tail method (as described to me by Bob Whitey) before he confirmed it for me.

And NO, you don't probe them!

Ok here you go- hopefully these pics will help you out.
Oh and to my knowledge- under no circumstances should beardies be probed.
Female, Male, Female, Male
