Hey I was on a hunting trip when i wadding past a pissed Elapid of sorts maybe tiger or RBB on weekend thought I'd share some pics of where cause I didn't have camera on me at time (DAMN) mean as it was stricking at me even though I was a good 1 metres and abit away yep I was bit afraid.

I wanted my mate to stand where I saw it for the pic but he was too scared as I was.

well i didn't spend too long looking at him I just bolted well splashed away cause I wasn't gonna hang around

Duck mate still got the season in Victoria getting me a few birds for winter so I have the duck beer chips and THE FOOTY

red belly probably if it was black,,,do u get dark tigers at kerang??? i thought that was more of a coastal coloring..to bad u didnt get a pic,i would have caught it ,taken a pic,and then bragged about it in here,,lol

baz

yep I would have bagged it and then bragged but I would be garanteed a good bite doing so running away always sounds good to me.
Baz at the time I had a shotgun and a bird in my hand and the camera was in the car.

Probably not a RBB, you would of seen the red belly if it was striking at you. I used to do a bit of duck shooting in Leeton rice paddies, the paddies are riddled with RBBs, we used to just nudge them with the barrel of the shotgun and they would take off into the water. They are more likely to flee than take you on.

thats true greebo , but as huggy can testify,u do get the occasional fiesty one...if they are hot and away from the water for a while ,i reckon they can put on a great show, and bluff someone who isnt ready..lol..so what do think it might have been,,

Call yourself a snakeman, running away from a snake, shame on you. :)

Also being near water it could have been a red bellied black.
