hey everyone, i went to check up on my pilbs and i found this little guy like this.

he's shedding.:D

The species has a tendency to eat its freshly sloughed skin once shed.

Good Indication that your animals are healthy and are growing.

As far as I'm aware smooth knobbies, such as levis eat the shed ie pull it off and devour it, whereas rough knobbies such as amyae dont. Might be something to do with the texture? With levis is dull one moment and bright and fresh the next, with no evidence!
 
Then again, you find similar species like U.Milii have very similar textured skin to that of Levis yet, Milii do not eat their slough.....................

I have also noticed that C.Louisiadensis eat their sloughed skin.

Well thats good to know. I was beginning to wonder where all the sheds were going. Lol
 
do bynoes eat their sloughed skin, i have never seen shed skin in with mine
