have a bit of a problem, my 6ft bhp is stuck in a shed, she has got off a tiny bit around her head and thats it, 2 days ago i sprayed her with some warm water and did it again a few hours later, iv gone that for 2 days and still no more shed is coming off, last time i held her she wrapped around my arm and latched on (was not a feeding bite) and being stuck in a shed she is prob stressed and i don't know weather to soak her in warm water as i'm not sure how to go about it as she will bite, i don't care if i have a few bites i just want her shed to get off, i'm not sure how to hold her as she will be very cranky and stressed, what is the best thing to do, if needed i will soak her but not sure the best way to go about that with a snake that does not like me when she is her normal self little own stuck in a shed, any help is much appreciated

she does has a water bowl to rub on but still not helping

i think after 2 days with it stuck you would be best to give her a bath in some warm water ...... if you have a tub you could put her in that with the lid on with air holes of course maybe a wet doona cover might help .... but i think she needs water one way or the other

 you sound more nervous than the snake probably will be. But you are going to have to soak her in warm water for about 20 minutes or so - you don't have to set a clock, just roughly. Then while the skin is soft and wet you are going to have to peel it off for her, making sure start with her head. If you're worried about being bitten, hold her head (she may wrap around your arm but don't worry, makes it easier for you to focus on her head) while you gently peel back, taking care especially around the mouth and her eyes. Then once you've got it off her head the rest is easy - you should be able to mostly let her slither through your hands. Hold a firm grip on the skin as it rolls back as she slithers out of it. It might roll back to be fairly tight, just rip it to help it keep going. Try slow down when you get to her tail tip to make sure it all comes off.

cheers all, yeah i am prob more nerves lol, i brought her not long ago so havnt had time with her to know how she will handle so im a bit nerves, she does tent to wrap around me tightly but as long as she is all better after i get the skin off i dont really care how many bites or what ever i get just want her to be fine

well i done it today and it went well, she did not try and bite me at all and didn't even wrap around my arm (much lol), i ended up sitting on a chair and put some rubber gloves on as there got it off easer, all the head was off it was just the neck and body i had to do, took ages and 2 soaks 2 get off but once i done about 4ft the other 2ft just came off easy, hear is some pics of her, she wasn't happy she was hissing alot but calmed down after a wile, there looks to be a bit of shed near her mouth in the pics but that is off now, im just glad that she is all good now, enjoy the pics.
