Hi my spotted python is about 10 or 11 months old, I've had her for about 3 months now. She didn't shed for the first 2 months & now she just shed again & it's only been 3 weeks. How often is a snake suppose to shed at this age?

i guess it depends on how much your feeding it,one of mine that never refuses a feed and sometimes get double food items when the other refuses its feed and it sheds like once a month, the other probly once every 2 months,my bhp did the same thing a few months back, shed 3 weeks after last shed

my 10 month old bredli sheds every 8 weeks. however she always takes her food items and is feed every sunday. so i guess that makes her shed cycle predictable and steady.

I was feeding her 1 pinky every thursday, as that was what the pet shop was doing. When she shed the first time i started feeding her 2 pinkies on thursday, except last week she only ate 1. I was thinking of starting to feed her 1 fuzzy. That's what they told me to do at the pet shop.

start feeding her pinky rats. im sure your spotted will take it if its 10 or 11 months old.

remember, the reason they shed is because they are outgrowing there skin. they shed more in often in there first year because there obviously growing more rapidly than when there older. so as long as your feeding it on a regular steady basis, and the appropriate sized food, i wouldnt worry too much about it.
