ta nev

i spoke to a lady at virgin blue a few weeks ago and she told me it was $25 base price plus $2.50 per kg (not inc GST). i was asking about snakes but i think she was just giving me a basic price for any animal

oh... wait... so isnt it thru like aussie post?
cos i was gonna call aussie post up tomorrow.... is that who i should call?
nev

you could probably do either...aussie post are qantas i think so it will end up on a plane anyway and i would assume they would charge extra to take it to the airport and deliver it to the address, when the recipient can just pick it up from the airport themselves. (phew take deep breath here :D ). if you take it to the airport yourself you can pack it up just before you leave so its in a container for as short a time as possible plus you can call the diff airlines to see if there is much of a diff in prices cos u might be able to save some money.

i have shipped animals a fair bit and i think i got charged a basic cost of $40 plus $3.50 per kg this is with australian air express who are quite good but have had one bad dealing.

Ultimate Reptiles in South Australia use Australian Air Express, I imagine they wouldn't use them if they had problems with them.

Hix.
