One of my friends got a spotted python a few months ago, it hatched late last year so just a baby still, I got two from the same season and mine are doing great but his had loads of trouble shedding and now hasn't eaten since early July... it seems healthy, not to skinny or anything, eyes are clear and bright, shed done except for a tiny bit. So not sure if I should be worried... my adults haven't eaten yet either (since maybe march) and have no interest but this guy is just a baby!! Should it be eating?
Its prob not in the best place, and could be cared for better (hence why Im asking this instead of the owner) lots of parties, thumping base, smoking indoors, drunk people tapping the glass etc etc etc... Whats you opinion? Thanks!

when i got my diamond it didnt eat for like almost 4 months, i wouldn't be to concerned at the feeding side of things. id be more concerned that if its in that kind on environment that it may be stressing quite a bit. if thats the case it might not start eating.

the shed isnt to much of a problem, i would say just increasing humidity (spray the snake with a water spray daily) or bath the snake in warm water daily to help rid excess skin.

not eating could just be the natural hybernation of the snake, ive got 2 adult diamonds and had a spottie that just wouldnt eat over winter even if i kept the heat to them, not to worry to much about it unless starts losing lots of conditon. baby snakes dont eat in wild for very long periods of time after birth.

as for the partys and smoke and such, not the best place for it, the smoke could course lung problems, the thumping beats and tapping could cause some problems, a drunk ideot grapping the snake out of the tank and letting it go might be more of a problem.

Sounds to me that the snake is fully stressed, with all the tapping on the glass etc...Once that gets sorted out and left alone for a week or two then it should eat...But also this time of year alot of snakes go off their food regardless of the enviroment...By the sound of it,the snake is in a fishtank,[correct me if im wrong]what are the temperature in the cage, what sort of cage....Once all this gets fixed and the temperature warms up,the snake should feed again....Best of luck...

Move the snake into a different room and see how that goes, as for the feeding sometimes it takes a few weeks if they are stressed but as a hatchling under heat it should start to feed. Try the move, double check his enclosure is setup right? What is the size of the enclosure? maybe put it in a click clack so it feels more safe. There are some great setup threads, its easy and has proven to be successful.

Yes he isn't a fan of listening to advice, so its in a timber enclosure with glass doors, i personally think to big- about 70cmx70cmx60cm. The temp is set to 30C in the warm end but cause of the tank size it usually only gets to about 28C max, the cool end gets bout 23-25C. No heat mat, only a light (cause if he adds a mat he will have to drill a hole in the enclosure and it 'wont look good') Ummm... water levels good, humidity a bit low but gets misted, lots & lots of branches and furniture, the hide is pretty big to, easy could be a hide for my 2 adult stimmos. when I go over there and handle her, she is a great, very social little snake, but when he goes near her, she turns savage... strikes constantly at the glass. I feel terrible for it!
