Was this animal in rehab when she gave birth, Rob (looks like a nasty old wound across her back)? Or at least wild caught??

yes that was the female that i found in a skip bin full of rubble and peices of wood and metal. She had a ceramic basin dropped on her, when a guy lifted it saw a snake underneath and freaked out dropping the basin and she was between pieces of wood and metal..
She was gravid and required emergency surgery for two large gaping wounds.

Very nice work to save her Rob. It always amazes me just what snakes are able to survive. I'm sure she appreciates your effort:)!

really wish I wasn't such an inexperienced pussy who could keep these one day! Guess I'll be sticking to my half rotten 18 year old childhood rubber red belly!

they're all stunning everyone! should be very happy campers :)

i don't know how you do it, I am definately waaay too scared to own and hold anything possesing venom regarless of how toxic

Great photos! Im getting a pair of babies this season. First vens, & they are my favourite. Love everything about them!

Aaah my dream snake..... So beautiful... unfortunately whilst Im living with mum & dad, it will have to wait.... Then i have to convince my partner who is even scared of my young childreni!

hahaha awwww, isn't it gorgeous!

...if I ever get one Rob, I will be testing too see if I have my very own cat-food eating black snake! (not as a staple of course!)

Snakepimp that pic is cool, I have a yearling tiger that likes to munch on roast chicken breast. He only gets a small amount and only very occasionally, but when he gets it he goes ballistic. Like a kid with a gobstopper lol.
