Hey everyone,

Looking at building my diamond pair a new home (as they are growing out of their current one) and am wondering what size would be best for a pair of diamonds? Yes I house them together but lets not throw flames I only want to know what size people would recommend for their new home, I don't need to know anything else.

I am thinking this home will last them the rest of their lives and initial thought was 4h x 2w x 2d (in feet). But then I thought too small, so what size would be best?

2mHx1.5mWx0.7mD or bigger is what i would do if i had the room

2m high? Thats massive!! I want something that will fit through a door :p . .

Hey Katie,
I agree with Snakes123, for a pair of diamonds you'll be needing it pretty big. Those snakes are likely to well exceed 2m, possibly even get to 3. So you'll probably need something 1.8-2m high, 1.5m wide or wider, and similar depth, with a few shelves and branches to maximise the climbing space they can utilise.

Ok I am thinking I'll take the door frame measurements and build it to that :p . . I'm thinking this enclosure will be big enough for me :p . .

my pair of diamonds who have lived together since hatchies in there enclosure there in atm ( i dont use click clacks ) is 5ft high 4wide 2 deep and ill probably make a 6hx6wx4d once i get my own house

As long as its not deeper than your doorway you can tip it and get it through.

seesh 6 x 6 x 4? Thats huge!!! I was also thinking of sectioning off the top and having my spotted live in there, so bigger is better.

I am about to finish an enclosure for my Diamond and Stimson. I built it in 2 parts so it was easier to transport. It stands about 2m tall in total. You could try making it in 2 parts that fit together so that when it is together there are no gaps for them to escape through but they have the full height to utilise.

Most Diamonds max out at a bit over 2 metres
With 2 together give them room to stretch and enough hides to separate if they want to although they usually will stick together like glue
Less than 2 metres will be fine so long as there are plenty of things to slither about on because if given the opportunity they are fairly active
If they are a mating pair remember you may have separate them after mating

that photograph is absolutely adorable !!

hehe isn't it just!!!

I won't be breeding them, or not planning to at this stage. I don't have the knowledge or resources (as in an incubator) too.
