IT says that boa's don't grow that llong though i have seen in a pair few places where it says that boa's and burms are almost the same. and in somecases where boa's have been thought to be bigger.
I will send the pictures our son Jon sent of the 'snake' taken from Thompson, Manitoba (where his wife was born)....I will just go save them and be right back!
By the way we all had a great time today with the APS gathering at the Tiger Snake Farm and at Roy Pails place!! Lots of photos taken to share with those that couldn't make it..
So here is the story that came with the Thompson Snake email and all the photos:
"Believed to have gotten away from its owner in Thompson -- then was likely run over. He was huge, at least 125 lbs.
Not sure what surprises me more.....the big snake or all the snow on the ground. How soon we forget!"
and now for the photos...the second lot will come in the next post...
These pictures remind me of what winters were like in Canada. You can see how the snow takes on a sand like consistency which is not particularly slippery - none of the tyres on the cars have chains for example. They just use the same tyres all year round.
In Thompson it would probably not last long in the middle of summer. In mid winter it would probably only last a few minutes. At this time of year I reckon it would still last less than an hour.
