Snake sausages....what ever happened to them?

What ever happened to those Snake sausages that were ment to be the best thing to feed your snake, providing them the complete diet?
Just wondering if these ever took off or failed miserably like i suspected :lol:
I could be wrong they might be great, but i know a few people who tried them, i would be curious to know how they went.
Most off what i heard was that the snakes liked them but where very messy and fell apart when feeding.

steve how are you mate.... round one failed (standard skin) got crushed and made a mess upon feeding (unless boild then they were ok)

Round two we used a colegen base to hold the sausage together (you coud take it out of its skin and i was tough like a piece of stake) but the collegen changed the scent of them which made some fussy feeders refuse them.

We are working in conjunction with a few parks and a zoo at the moment developing round three.... it is like nothing else that has been available in the past and all trials so far have indicated that we are on to a good thing.....

Stay tuned phase three is in production and will be available within 2 months

What are you planning to do to them?

Doesn't seem easier to just feed rats? Seems to be getting to far away and even more unatural.
Is there anyway way you can make them more stimulating for the snakes or is the main focus keeper convenience?

these will be more stimulating to the snake, and also a more natural product.

When eating rats mice and rabbits there are things in the meal that are not entirely good for the snakes.

We have actually been working with some people who shall remain nameless at this time to develop an optimum diet for snakes, with all of the right vitamins, minerals etc to maintain peak health in captivity.

Dont want to discuss too much here as the idea is still in its infancy, but by all accounts and trials so far looks to be a real winner.

i gave out about 120 pkts of the last lot at a VHS meeting to get some feedback from them but nothing came back to me at all (good or bad) people just took them cause they were free i think

I will make a post when they are good to go
