My 18 month old childreni shed on the 26/5 then again on 28/7. That seemed maybe a bit quick, but he has put on a lot of weight/size. But he is in shed again now. His skin has started looking rough and milky, and his eyes clouded over a few days back.

There have been a few other threads about this happening, and causes suggested have been retained shed and high humidity. I couldn't see any retained shed. He does have a 1l water bowl in his tub, which is lined with paper towel, and the humidity sits around 50-65%.

Some people have said that repeated shedding can be hormonal, or pathogen related, so I will pop him down to the vet, but I would appreciate any thoughts from you guys :)

It's unlikely to be anything significant. I have a female 8yo GTP which sheds almost every 5 weeks - not growing much, but something triggers it. She's in fine health and has been that way since she was a hatchy. I've had other snakes which shed more frequently than most, but it has never indicated more serious problems.

Like humans, we all have different cycles, and as long as all the other health parameters are OK, there's nothing to worry about.

My female woma went on a growth spurt betwewn 5 & 9 months old.

She was getting fed roughly once every 10 days with an appropriately sized rodent, but she just converted it to bulk really well & grew fast, sloughing 4 times in 4 months, doubled her weight, then slowed back down to a more "normal" (whatever that is) growth rate. No power feeding or anything like that, just a quick growth spurt.

My woma once shed 2-3 weeks after her previous shed and then didn't shed for nearly 3 months...
