The picture on the page is of the yellow sided garter snakes in Manitoba Canada. This is where Trader grew up and where we both lived for 3 years before moving back to Australia.
I was lucky enough to visit the snake pits as these guys emerged and it is quite a remarkable site. The snakes are so focused on the mating thing that they litterally ignore you and will slither over you if you happen to be in their path.
