Hi guys we just bought a 4x2x2 enclosure and we are getting a coastal to keep in it for our son. We were going to get a young (1 year or under) but have been offered a 2 yr old by his teacher that we are considering (would it be ok in this size enclosure) We are just looking to get some help and advice on setting it up for the snake and making sure it is safe and secure and happy :) So any help or suggestions would be great (eg what sort of equipment to put on the shopping list, what globes, the temps , light cycle etc) we want to do this right and want the snake to be well cared for. He has a lot of experience as the school have a pretty good and huge reptile program but he is only 14 so we want to make sure it is all done right :) Thanks in advance Katrina

Most of my enclosures are that size and I keep a nearly 2 Year old Bredli and a decent sized 10 month old in each of them. They haven't stressed out at all due to having places to hide or a branch to coil up on. They both spend most of their time on the branch.

As for heating/lighting. Its getting warmer here so I run 100w heat lamps on thermostats. I also run low wattage white lights, but that's not needed but more a choice.
