something to do in newcastle for today?

Hello,

Iam stuck here at the newcastle uni while my sister does the open day and am wondering what can I do?

I have a car so transport no issues anyone got any ideas?

Head up Stockton Breakwall past The Wreck and catch some big trevally (rumour has it they are biting their heads off on pilchards now).

or

Head up Cessnock way and visit some wineries and enjoy some fine food and fine wine.

or

Go exploring by 4wd in the sand-dunes behind Stockton Beach or go and do some beach fishing on Stockton Beach (loads of tailor and salmon there).

Or take in some shopping in one of the big malls or on the maindrag at Hamilton .

or go for a surf.

Loads of things you you can do in Newcastle or near Newcastle if you decide to make the most of your time there.

It about an hour to Australian reptile Park at Gosford; or Oakdale Farm at Salt Ash; or Hunter Valley Zoo at Cessnock.

On a day like today head to honey suckle and have lunch and a couple of drinks at one of the restaurants or bars. Then go for a walk up to nobbys light house. You'll be wanting to buy a house here in no time!

Go to the amazing Spanish hot chocolate cafe on the beach, it is A-MA-ZING!!!

Oooh I was at the open day today aswell. Ever find yourself in Newcastle again the best place to be would be the harbour and the beaches.

Next time give us some warning and we can orgainse some appropriate recreational activities.

Blackbutt, Tree Tops, Wickam Park Hotel, Whale Watching.

Cheers all managed to find some stuff to do, a little weird for the rest of the people on the drive home with to large snakes in the car.
