hi, i am now running low on roaches and was wondering where people buy theirs from? i normally get them from the ARCADE at frogs.org.au which are always fine, but they are out at the moment, and i had a bad experience with herpshop, so was wondering where else i can get cheap (but good quality) roaches? i live in the Sydney area. thanks!

im havin the same problem and am in desperate need of some as well... is there any chance you could also let me no where to get some from
cheers

i rang the arcade people, and they said the heat wave through Victoria killed of many suppliers colonies of crickets, and subsequently all those people who use crickets are now buying roaches, so as a result roach numbers are also down!!! so i am struggling!

contact a local reptile shop and ask for bulk woodies pm me for some shops if you like

i'm not sure what it was, but i have a tub with some other woodies which are doing fine, and then i got some woodies to put in another tub and they seem to just keep on dieing. i think it may have been an isolated thing though, as my friend has used herpshop many times and has been very happy with them, he actually recommended them to me for the woodies (saying they were cheap and good quality ones) and i have heard lots of people saying they use them with no problem at all... i am not trying to give herpshop a bad wrap, i was just saying that so that people don't keep recommending herpshop, as i know they exist, i was just trying to get some other suggestions

I must say I am a tad surprised. The only issue that Brian has ever had with SFR's is keeping up with supply which sometimes means that customers requesting large orders.... particularly if they are not regulars, get offered smaller amounts to ensure that regulars can be supplied.

The thing about speckled feeder roaches from the herpshop is that you get what you pay for. You are purchasing by weight of SFR's, not roaches + droppings or roaches + dead roaches etc. Yes some will die on transit but Brian caters for this by being generous with the weight of orders being shipped.

agreed:)

yeh thats what i was saying, i have heard nothing but good reports about them, so it must have been something with transit, or housing or something... i was going to give them another go because of this reason (and they are cheap) but you have to have your order in by saturday, so i just missed the deadline, and needed them badly so was trying to see if any other places supply them at other days, that's why i was trying to get some suggestions... sorry if it appeared i was having a go at them, i think they are great, i have used them many times with no hassle and am about to put in another order for lights and stuff... i recommend them to other people!
