Hello All,
(Please remove if this post is redundant or likely to cause issues as that's not my intent)
I am aware we have a thread on various Exotic Vets around Australia , however I do have a few questions regarding it. As with any business there are always good and bad reviews and it's about personal opinion, but while risking a shyte fight, I was wondering if we have threads on specific vets and peoples experiences with them? I'm not asking for slander, just genuine reports on pet care or lack there of so that myself and other members might find a good vet first go in their city or even state.
I admire peoples raving of Dr Clayton Knight at Deception Bay, however being Southside of Brisvegas, have noted some vets on the southern side of the river too and was hoping to discuss them.
Brisbane Bird and Exotic Vets appear to have very strongly mixed reviews with many positive but some rather devastating. I was considering this as my first option due to the information available on their website for basic consultation and pet testing as they seem quite thorough, however have some concerns from things I have read about their care and bedside manner. I am aware they will be more costly, but am more interested in good care for my snake above cost. http://bbevs.com.au/
Good things have also been mentioned about Greencross Jindalee, however I am unsure of how equipped the clinic is for reptiles and if Dr Joshua Llinas, is indeed a guaranteed vet to book if you want to see only him? http://www.greencrossvet.com.au/Clinic-9/Jindalee.aspx
Finally a friend mentioned they visit Windaroo Vet out near Beenleigh, this seemed like a curve ball (with little referencing to them for reptiles online) and I was wondering if anyone has been there to know if they are indeed a good reptile choice. I know they are cheap as chips apparently, but I am unsure if that's an indication of Dr Laura Coughran's experience or just the fact they aren't really advertising reptile care. http://www.windaroovet.com.au/
Many thanks all, just wanting to drill down the best care people have had in case anyone else is wondering, but as mentioned, I am aware this might also be a more personal decision for some members.
