They're fairly easy to keep. Eat like Trojans. Not the best first monitor though as they reach 1.2metres in length.

Hey - not sure about in your state but it's just Recreational in QLD (considered as class 1)

Thinking of getting a trio of hatchies, can they be housed together and what size enclosure while they are still small, say, for 12 months or so?

We bought them as hatchies Mel. They are in a 2 foot tank now. Nice and easy to keep. I love them heaps.

Sorry, this isn't corect, you need an advanced license in Melb to own a Spencer's Monitor.
