Pythons are nocturnal he may be coming out at night when your not or he maybe settling in,some can take a while.

its very bright lukey ,,you may want to tone it down and it might not feel so vunrable ....:)

yeh ok thanks, i know his nocturnal but i wont go to bed on weekends till 1ish or so n his not out so i dont know
in his old enclosure he never went into hide he spent his time out in open whole time so thats why im tad worried about him

yeh ill try and get smaller fluro, that one is only 15w, in old enclosure that was white melamine and smaller had 30w and never bothered him, but i could still try it, thanks for advice
just trying to sort it out so his happy

maybe he needs to adapt to the new environement?? I agree with REDBELLYBITE, it is a tad bright. remember that snakes don't like exposing themselves!!

put a hide box up the top of the enclosure aswell and use a red infared globe for heating. dont worry about fluros etc for a coastal unless it wouldnt get any natural light during daylight hours where its positioned in your house.

edit: also check your temps if it is too hot he will spend all his time as far away from the heat as possible which would prob be his cool end hide box

How old is the coastal,it might feel stressed if its in a enclosure way 2 big...
