hey guys so ive recently checked up on my mustard belly and have found either a kink or a spinal injury im not sure which one it is (havent noticed any kinks when he was young) im not sure which it is but either way i hate to see it happen to the little guy, the only time i can think of where i could have harmed him was when i bumped the dresser it wasnt very hard but theres a large piece of wood and a small rock in his enclosure. just curios if it is a kink or a spinal injury and if theres anything i should be worried about. is anything i can do to help? such a gentle little snake and i hate that this has happened

there shouldnt be any "kinks" on any snake above the tail.. would be a spinal injury, see a specialised reptile vet

who bred it? havent seen captive Mustard bellies in a long time

Cheers guys it will be the first thing I do tomorrow, I got him off a close mate I’m not sure if he was wild caught or bought off a breeder ( I think it was wild caught ) if I think of selling you’ll be the first person I message ElapidHooks

his not happy at all and cant get around effectively but i feel like it will do him good, he is rolling around alot trying to get the splint off. it was a broken spinal column on each side of the "kink" but the vet i got said that because he is so young and his bones are so soft that in 8 weeks time ill most likley see an improvement. he ate a skink on monday and shat all over the vets hands so i guess his digesting things fine im going to put him on rat or mice tails tho. lets hope for the best ill upload on this thread once the split is taken off
