Hi all
We have had our stimson since christmas and she just had her first shed with us yesterday
we just got her up tonight to have a feed and she took 2 fuzzys no problem
But her colour is not right she is really dull and grey looking i thought her colour would be brighter
after a shed is this normal

week 1 ( 1 fuzzy )but no poo so
week 2 ( 2 fuzzys) big poo
week 3 ( 2 Fuzzys) poo
week 4 ( no food in shed mode
and tonight 2 fuzzys
temps have been good and she was perfect eye caps and wright down to her tail
she is 1 and is 65 cm
is she ok

Ok also this is the second time she has gone to have a soak in the water after a feed
is that normal

so what should i do take her out or just leave her
next time ill take her water bowl out

He was joking, it's not unusual for a snake to soak in its waterbowl after a feed - it's a comfort thing and nothing to worry about. From everything you've said your snake seems perfectly fine. Can you post a pic?

Feel free to say im wrong but don't most snakes lose colour over time as they mature?

Generally they will gain colour for a few years, peak, then start becoming duller and duller.

yes most snakes but everything i have read says a stimson is one that will hold its colour
my camera is full will empty it and take some pics tom and post them just wondering if she was dirty from her substrate coconut husks :?
