Ok so I woke up this morning to water my bonsai. Bam, gone. You cant see over my fence without some effort and there were footprints belonging to shoes we don't own by the gate. Why must people be such scumbags...? It was worth a fair bit of money so I have reported it to the police ( .....their top priority i'm sure).. The crappy thing is, even if I caught them and gave them a hiding society would see me as the bad guy and them as the victim even though they are trespassing and stealing. Sigh....

Azalea? Scum bags. I know a couple of people who have had to go to the length of drilling a hole into each trees nabari securing a hook and connecting them to a security cord so if the link is broken the house alarm goes off. These no talent low lifes don't have the skill or patience to do it themselves so have to steal . I'm sure there is a special place in hell in front of a small guillotine next to the rapists and people who scratch another mans car waiting for them. Im sorry for your loss.

Are you sure it wasn`t feeling a little "held back" and done a runner.
Seriously, I detest thieves, hate them with a passion!

Lots of light fingered a-hs about.
Put the insurance claim in and next time keep your bonzi inside and if you must keep it outside don't let anyone (you don't know) see it or know about it.

This must be so frustrating for you, I would imagine you put a lot of time and care into that bonsai tree. You did the right thing to report it but as you say I doubt unless it drops into the polices lap you wont see it again. You can get small GPS trackers now quite cheap. I would consider setting up a 'bait bonsai' or something similar. You can bet these muppets will be stupid to come back if you lay a suitable trap for them.

Kindest regards

Unfortunately this one needed outside morning sun and to be under shelter at the moment due to the frost around here. I didn't really have anywhere else to put it.

I actually did think about putting a fake bonsai in, although we have installed a padlock on the side gate, so it would be interesting to see if they were just snooping around the yard for the sake of it, or actually after the tree. If they were desperate for the tree, I'd be guessing they'd probably try to jump the fence.

Ok so I bought a small GPS tracker ( which should arrive like Wednesday) and ill bury it in the soil of some cheap bonsai from Big W. Now to play the waiting game. Hopefully they come back and lead me to my old one.

Cheap ebay gps trackers are great. Had a mate install one on his trail bike before it got knocked off by some fool that thought he deserved it more, wasnt long before the policed called him saying they had retrieved his bike back.

Make sure to recharge the sim with a few $$ every year, without an active sim card this these are rendered useless.

I find that a turret mounted gatling gun, whilst more expensive provides more peace of mind and job satisfaction..... might be just me though:D

Yeh this one was only like 55$ so hopefully theyre dumb enough to do it again.

Make sure you photograph and mark your property in such a way that if it is stolen and subsequently recovered there is NO doubt it has been stolen from you.
