sorry but while some of its very pretty and well done vandalism is still vandalism and what if the lad in the tunnel had slipped, fallen and been run over by a car and killed, how do you think the driver would have felt? and im betting not one of those doing the 'art' pay rates of which some cash is filtered and used to clean up where they paint

if they want to do the artwork then do it on the sides of their own homes and see if their parents/relatives/friends like it

time the government increased the fines OR started jailing these idiots, how many have died vandalising private property?

As stated in one of the pieces - 'If graffiti changed anything, it would be illegal'.

These are awesome. Not one that i would consider as vandalism, the ones that werent pure works of art were humerous and would brighten up the grouchiest persons day on passing them.

thanks for sharing dan.

Jeannine are you serious, it is that kind of attitude that makes the world a cold, grey, dismal place to live. The site is amazing, some of the best work I've seen.
Havent you read Jeannine's post before.

so you think its ok to vandalise someones property? so you think its ok for some idiot to go into a tunnel to 'paint/draw' pictures all over the walls (and lets not forget its PRIVATE property) and what about a poor innocent person driving thru this tunnel who has some moron slip and fall under his car and has to live with that for the rest of his life or better still what about some poor train driver driving along and some idiot decides to 'tag' his train or the walls of a tunnel and he kills them ... guess thats ok hey cause his 'art' would still be there

so its ok to deface the sides of privately owned buildings? trains? bridges? tunnels? and have the tax payers and rate payers pay for this to be removed and or painted over?

just because it looks good does NOT mean it should be allowed, these people enter private property, deface something they dont OWN in the name of art and thats ok?

honestly

oh and by the way i am MORE then entitled to view my opinions on people who destroy private property as you are to say you think its ok, perhaps some of you should put white walls out the front of your houses, if you own them, and put a sign up telling everyone they can deface it to their hearts content and when they run out of room they are welcome to the walls of your house and maybe even you car

Yeah I have, lol

Sorry Jeaninne but as I am an artist you are asking the wrong person. I would rather look at street art than a grey wall any day.

Awesome art work, shame that it was washed away in the end, really can't be called vandalism as he was selectively cleaning the wall.
I enjoy looking at graffitti when it is done properly with out all the tags, it is just a shame it is done illegally in most cases .

There is a difference between graffiti and art. On that sight a lot of the stuff is actually done for art shows or exhibitions. Councils often pay to get people to do street art.

Private businesses have been known to commission street art as well. I love it personally, some of the skill is incredible.

Banksy (Wall and Piece)

Some of those works are by Banksy probably the most talented artist of the day and whose work sells for very big $$ ( Banksy - Wikipedia ). And, lets face it, I would much rather look at street art than read some mouth-frothers rage at the world.

And of course his work on the Simpsons
