What is good substrate for a woma python ?(I was thinking sand or something that will encourage them to dig)

Thanks Joelysmoley

Mine seems to enjoy making patterns in her Kritters Krumble.

sand is alright tho it is messy and can get everywhere it gets annoying when it gets stuck in the tracks, kritters crumble works great so do those kitty litter pellets made from paper

Agreed with other people, Kritter's Crumble or Coir Peat would be fine for a Woma.
My BHP currently has Aspen bedding, she loves digging under it but it does not absorb the urates/poo very well at all so I am going back to no additive coir peat that you can get from bunnings.

Thanks everyone i just bought 2 bricks of coir peat from bunnings. Just letting it dry

So when i need to do a full clean out every month or so, do i change all the coir peat in there and put new coir peat in or do i wash the coir peat out?

I would reccomend hemp bedding which is great for pythons.

I would replace it. It's cheap enough.

Sorry for the late reply,
I would change the coir peat every time you feel it needs doing, I used to change mine every 2 months as the coir peat does not seem to stay nice, it gets really dusty, strangely. Anyway when you do a full clean out in a months time then just get your snake out and move the substrate around. Let it air out for about 1 - 2 hours if possible. When you do move the stuff around, I would advise you to have some sort of mask around your mouth/nose as it tends to go down your throat and isn't the best thing to be breathing in ;)

Let us know how it goes :)
