Soo... Ive sussed the winter heating, but in summer the temps are hot her often 34-42 , how do you cool? or even have light? Ive googled heaps cant find a thing..

im in vic, and it can get hot as hell during summer! I have a quite a few diffrent animals (herp and not) so during extremely hot days i cover one end and place a two ltr bottle of frozen water at one end and maybe some ice in the water bowl. My lizards are near windows so i just open the blind a bit for light and heat....

Ill put the thermostat/heat mat on at night, theoretically it wont switch on unless needed anyway? My poor little stimso is gonna get no light :( Cant leave a fan all day... also our aircon is old with no thermostat and ends up kinda freezing in the lounge/ our bedroom, kids room... we use this at night time dring the week and all day during the weekends. I might stick him in the kitchen, but its gonna be busy. If I use the heat lamp on him when the air con is on he should be fine hey? Being a stimson shouldnt he be able to cope with hi heat anyway? Im in Perth and have an old uninsulated asbestos hous, it really varies with temp, anyone else in Perths methods? I like Rupert , dont want him to cook.

Just turn his heat on when you are air conning. I leave the heat in my ackies on when it gets hot because they can deal with a lot of heat, and I have the thermostat going anyway. But might be an idea to take the heat off herps who don't deal with cooking haha

i might just give kruddy ruddy a buzz :)
How hot can stimsons handle?
