just wondering what temps i should have for my diplodactylus conspicilatus? The sand is deep so do i take the temp from the bottom or top of the substrate?

Hornet, take temps from both- the surface and bottom of the sand to see the temp variables.

Also, some updated pics may help ;-)

I dont have conspicilatus but i have the granariensis.
Not sure whether your meaning for cooling or breeding temps so....

Warming temps i went off Danny's article. Pretty sure its something like high 20's and warmest end down to low 20's. Nothing over 30 deg, as you would be aware that temps beyond this tend to be to hot for most gex and could be fatal.

For cooling, i've currently got mine running on a heat mat for the span of the current daylight hours. Runs from about 8-5pm roughly, and temps range from high teens up to mid 20's. Overnight temps would be mid to high teens. So far they seem to be coping well under these conditions.

Hope it helps.
