a friend of mine came across a grey snake, wif a white belly.. in some leaves she was raking up.. just wondered if it mite be one???

Not dangerous, but ready biter and releases a strong odour. Eats frogs, geckos, skinks , their eggs, rats and mice. Lays up to 12 eggs. Typical Habitat :Nocturnal snake, associated with creeks, lagoons, and water tanks in buildings and outhouses. Aglie climber, but mainly forages on the ground for frogs. Open forest and rainforest. Distribution :Top End of N.T. and Cape York to Hervey Range. Introduced :No Seen North Qld : Yes
