I was wondering if anyone has heard of or know of a type of thermometer that is capable of being linked to some sort of apps. that allows remote monitoring of temps?

Perhaps a function that logs the temps. at hourly intervals with a ref. back?

Might be a big ask but I'll ask anyway.

Cheers,
~Akwendi.

Hey Akwendi,

Not sure if I've ever come across a thermometer that does what you've asked although I'm sure there are some out there...

Try searching thermometers with data loggers and see how you go..

Good luck

you mean a USB temperature/humidity data logger? I think you can get them from places like Dick Smith Electronics

I think the market for remote monitoring type things using a phone app is too small. I typed "wireless temperature data logger" into Google and got a few results but most of them require line of sight or use wireless networks which limits the range to a fairly small area

Here's one from JayCar - Temperature/Humidity Data Logger

Or the same thing from an online shopping site selling it cheaper - StepLight

Also if you do find/purchase one it would be interesting to see the results you come up with if you don't mind sharing..
