thermostat wont work

ok for some reason my thermostat for my bredli wont work... luckily i have a thermometer to keep an eye on the temps n just have to alter it manually and get my housemate to keep an eye on it when im at work... only had it about 3months... dont get why it wouldnt be working?? is there a reason or is it just the brand - its a microclimate ministat300 - has 3 cords mains, heater, sensor... should i get a new 1 - any suggestions what is best and price roughly?? or is this 1 fixable?
(and no it aint a dumb moment where something is un-plugged lol)

call a sparkie, could be a connection issue with the soldering or a kinked wire connection repeated(even low amounts of kinking)
can break a few wires in the cord and cause failure could be a dodgie thermo even the"best" punch out dodgie ones

probibly cheaper 2 buy a new 1 then get an electrican lol thanks anyhow.

What heat source are you using? Be careful not to cook your python.

If your thermostat is not working, I'd be replacing it asap.

Call the manufacturer and see what they say.

You say ! of the cords is a heater? is this correct? are you sure the thermostat is set up correctly?

When you say it's not working, what do you mean exactly? Is it not turning on and off? Is it constantly on? More info required.

it doesnt turn on and off like it used too...

and yes it was connected properly...

no i wont cook him, ive been keeping an eye on him and the temps and altering them manually for now and when im not home i get my housemate to check it for me...

i have a heat mat, uv light and heat light... but was only connecting 1 or the other of the heat light or mat to the thermostat depending which i had on...

Does it turn on/off at all? You say you're adjusting things manually, does this mean the thermostat is still connected and works to some degree?

nah the thermostat WONT work what-so-ever - wont turn on/off wont opperate... im checking it with the thermometer and either turning more heat on or off... (heat light, uv light [is produces a bit of heat], and heat matt...)

It may be a warranty job then. I have two here that have done the same and one still going which I only use occasionally. I have a couple of ministat 100's that are still going perfectly though.

the 1 im talking about is a ministat300...

and i would do the warranty if i could find the receipt :| im going to have a look again tomorrow before work as havent really had much time to look over the weekend as have had kids in the house lol

The ones that I was referring to not working were 300's. I also have a couple of DL1's that are still going but personally I wouldn't buy Microclimate again.

know how you feel i bought a microclimate b2 and it ran my incubator perfectly for 3 weeks then she had her clutch and put the eggs in and on the second night it just stopped (sory mat for the wake up)

if you havent got the receipt try rining the company direct and explaining you ahve lost the receipt etc.....sometimes the company direct will help you

ill give it a go... cant hurt i guess... will give them a call tomorrrow as well and see what they say...

and hoppyone talk about bad timing for yours to decide not to work, hope your clutch turned out ok in the end!
