Big low today so we went out for a walk on the sea floor. Headed out to the fossil reefs. I was looking for a scribbled angel fish for my SW tank and found 3 but all way too big. Electric blue and yellow, beautiful fish. I did get a pretty little black white and yellow eel tailed catfish.

We found 4 Icthyosaur vertebrae and a huge coconut crab. I tried out my underwater camera and it worked!

here he is out of water, above and below shots, not easy to see if he's not moving. He's the size of a small coconut too!

Here's the icthyosaur vertebrae. After a couple of weeks in vinegar they will scrub up very nice!

Tomorrow we are heading out to a coral reef to collect fish. Will post pics when we get back.

cheers! It's beer o'clock!

Hey Steve great Pics there...I want to get an aquarium!

We're going out to Dudley Bombies off East Point tomorrow (about 1pm). Lovely coral reef. You're welcome to come. We go reef walking whenever the big lows are in daylight. All welcome, but it's not a tour, everyone is responsible for them selves and I have some rules for ensuring minimum damage from big boofy feet :)

Very. But they're just one of 23 things that can kill you in the sea here. I prefer the spa on my balcony for a dip :D Although so does my bhp!

Well O Bigfoot they say a the size of a man's feet are an indicator of the size of his.......... anyway this makes you truly pythonesque!!

Yep do see the crays and even had a couple of small ones in the tank but they knock everything over! Foot size doesn't matter on the reef it's about where you put them. I just make a speech about not stepping on the live corals, there's no need to. And anyone who does never gets another invite.

Anyway your invite is open, there's a lot of big daytime lows between now and March 2012.

Goodonya Guzzo. Into the swine!!!

Hahaha Steve......anyhow......I will have to catch up one of these days....Will let you know if I see anything of intrest...that is if i don't get shot by the Goose Hunting Cowboys

They cant shoot straight anyway, You're probably safest right in front of them!

As it happened we had too much attitude adjustment the night before and lurked in the pond all day.

Never mind, it's all good.

The tides are back in a month and the fish we caught last tides are all settled in. Between them and the snakes (and the laptops) the TV doesn't get a look in.
