Hi all. Im fairly new to owning snakes so i still have lots to learn. Atm my coastal is acting strange. She keeps laying in the cooler section of the enclosure. Not interested in the heat at all. Im due to feed her and have heard that she needs heat to digest food. Y is she acting like this. Easy to handle placid snake. Just shed last week. Only 11 months old.Cheers for any help given

What are your temps in the enclosure mate? It may be that the hot end is too hot?

That's why we give them a choice of temps, so that they can suit themselves. Sometimes they like cool, other times not. They know better than you what they need. Don't worry - feed as you wish.

Only the up basking spot to 35 for the above post not the ambient temp. ambient temp is fine at 30-33ish but your snakes not gonna die if it's a degree too low so shouldnt be a problem
