Hello, everyone. We were Gerni-ing today and hurt one of the precious little frogs we have living around our house. They're Litoria serrata, or Green-eyed frogs if you were wondering.
I'm guessing it was hit with a blast of water, as there is a bubble on its back, presumably full of water, and one of its back legs isn't working (no visible damage but it is limp). It's alive and active, but can't jump.
So I was wondering, will its leg heal over time? And if that bubble is water, will it be reabsorbed or will it need to be extracted if he has any hope?
Edit: It seems to be able to move now (still no hopping), but the bubble under the skin is taking over its entire body and it is almost definitely air.
These frogs are pretty much a part of the family and I'm willing to keep and feed it until its healthy if it has a chance of survival.
