My female carpet python has rough scales, and one side of her jaw is drooping, she is also making some gurgly sounds occasionaly.
Can anyone help.
I know you will say take her to a reptile vet and I plan on doing that, I'm just hoping someone can shed some light on the problem til I can get her there and offer any advice on what I can do in the mean time.
I am going to quarentine her from the rest of my collection and put her in a hot box type enclosure to keep an eye on her.
She is a bit fiesty usually, but Ilove her as much as any of my snakes and don't want anything to happen to her.
Thanks

Temp has beendown to 25 over winter, have just started turning up again, is up to 27, I usually have the hot end at around 32. I'm keeping her at 30 in the hotbox now.
As I said I plan on taking her to a vet, but can't do that til tomorrow, I'm worried cause she suddenly presented like this today out of the blue and I don't want her to die overnight if there is something I can do about it.
Whats ri?

Turn her up to 32, her PBT. This should at least get her metabolism up & going, might give her a fighting chance. If you want any hope, get her to a herp vet first thing in the morning

sounds like a severe respatory infection mate if thats the case she needs to get to a vet asap in the mean time crank her temps allthough what u have said with ure temps that should be fine ri is respatory infection wich is cause by temperature dropping suddenly or not providing enough heat

Thanks to everyone who replied last night.
I took her to the reptile vet this morning and it turns out she has RI. She is staying in for a few days of r&r. In the mean time I am going to build her a new enclosure to make sure she has the best environment possible.
Of 15 snakes, she is the first one to get sick. A bit of a heart stopper.
I have now named her 'Weazle' I thought it might be a bad omen to send her to the vets without a name, and she is the only one who I couldn't find a good name for. Thanks again everyone. :)

I forgot to post a reply earlier, the vet called me the day after telling me she had ri etc., and told me they had been reading the wrong card, she actually has a broken jaw!!!! I don't know how it happened, but they said luckily she is so healthy she can go a few months without food. ( I mean healthy, not overweight)

God vets can be useless sometimes.
If broken jaw was a critical condition the snake wouldve died.
